VI-4. output and output.json#
This chapter describes the output and output.json files written by EMSolution.
JSON Format of output Files#
EMSolution provides two output files: the conventional output file and the newly added output.json file.
- The output file is the conventional EMSolution output file and is written in text format.
For an output example of the output file, see the collapsed text-format section.
The output.json file is written in JSON format.
The output.json output separates the information written to the output file into the following three files.
Mesh Information
Iterative Calculation Information
Post-processing
These are written separately because they serve different purposes.
Each file begins with information in the metaData and analysisCondition keys.
Header Information#
The metaData key stores the following information.
Executable module version
Executable module build date
File creation date and time (the date and time that output.json was created, rather than the value written to the output file)

"comments" : "This file is converted from the EMSolution output data.",
},
The analysisCondition key contains a summary of calculation conditions.

Mesh Information#
Mesh information contains the same content that is written at the beginning of the conventional output file.
It is written to the meshInfo.json file.
The meshInfo key contains the mesh information written at the beginning of the conventional output file. Additional items are displayed when the sliding method is used.
