EMSolution Documentation#
EMSolution: Advanced electromagnetic field analysis software.
Overview#
EMSolution is electromagnetic field analysis software developed from three-dimensional electromagnetic field analysis expertise accumulated since the 1990s. It supports magnetostatic analysis and eddy-current analysis in the frequency and time domains, and has been applied to electrical equipment such as large generators, transformers, MRI systems, and industrial motors.
EMSolution input and output files are primarily text-based.
Input Control Files (native text and JSON formats)
Input mesh files (.atl, .unv, .bdf (Nastran), .neu, and others)
Result files (native text and JSON formats)
Field-distribution files (.atl, .unv, .neu, .json, and others)
The Python package pyemsol lets you run and control EMSolution from Python. See the pyemsol API for usage.
For Input Control File settings, see the Handbook.
